One Handful of Earth
Bella MacDonan is the sage woman and midwife in the community of Clans that live along the Kildonan River in the Scottish Highlands. Her daily challenge of delivering babies and feeding her family on a dwindling supply of oats turns into a crisis when a stranger rides into their glen with a map of land for sale: the MacDonan land. Convinced that she has the power to stop the eviction of hundreds of families, she and her husband Alec lead a delegation to Dunrobin Castle to petition the Countess of Sutherland. Their journey takes an unexpected turn and proves to her that love is the source of courage.
